17th Rio Symposium on Atomic Spectrometry

Date: November 9 - November 14, 2025

Location: Hotel Fonte Colina Verde | São Pedro, Brazil

Information:

The Rio Symposium on Atomic Spectrometry was initiated in 1988 by professors Adilson J. Curtius and Bernhard Welz with the intention that this event would represent an opportunity for interaction between Latin American students and scientists with renowned scientists from around the world. The RSAS has already been held in Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico and Chile. The event usually has around 300 to 350 participants and internationally renowned researchers. The main topics covered include atomic absorption spectrometry, optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) and mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), LIBS, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, various hyphenation techniques, as well as sample preparation. It is an event that traditionally features the main companies that serve these areas.

We look forward to meeting you!

Topics of 17th RSAS:

  1. Atomic and fluorescence spectrometry
  2. Plasma-based techniques
  3. Techniques based on X-ray, Raman, and Mössbauer
  4. Synchrotron-radiation based techniques
  5. Techniques based on SIMS and nanoSIMS
  6. Hyphenated/multimodal techniques
