qTOWER iris – qPCR product innovation presented at analytica 2024

Jena, March 21, 2024 – At this year's analytica, Analytik Jena (www.analytik-jena.com), a global provider of analytical measurement technology, is presenting the pioneering qTOWERiris real-time PCR thermal cycler. qTOWERiris combines Analytik Jena's concentrated qPCR experience in a single device. The uncompromisingly open system offers an extended wavelength range from UV-A to NIR, enables multiplexing for up to six targets and allows users to freely select their modules, consumables, reagents and assays.

The complete spectrum
From UV-A to near-infrared (NIR) – qTOWER iris delivers clear signals across the entire spectrum and achieves maximum flexibility in the field of real-time PCR thermal cyclers. With its unique multicolor LED light source and matching filter modules, the new qTOWER iris enables optimal resolution of the individual color channels and delivers reliable qPCR results when multiplexing up to 6 targets.

Future-proof
Like every Analytik Jena qPCR device, the qTOWER iris offers maximum scope for future applications. The system with its freely configurable color filter selection is open for all qPCR consumables, reagents and assays. The color modules are available individually and can be purchased at any time as required. The device is calibrated at the factory, so there is no need for recalibration with new dyes.

Precise research without edge effects
The target temperature is precisely controlled during heating and cooling, reliably preventing artifacts. Thanks to the homogeneous temperature distribution across the entire block, edge effects are a thing of the past. The deviation is ± 0.15 degrees Celsius, compared to the ± 0.4 degrees Celsius that is standard on the market. The readout results are also incomparably precise: as the fiber optic advances column by column, it reads each well from the same angle, unlike camera optics.

Carefree working thanks to maximum ergonomics
qTOWER iris offers ergonomics at the highest level. These include a self-test that the device performs before each run, the option to check the fiber optics via Fibercheck, robust and smooth-running mechanics and an elegant, minimalist look that is geared towards functionality. The qTOWER iris also has a reduced acoustic footprint. The new real-time PCR thermal cycler generation is ergonomic and whisper-quiet, ensuring a quiet laboratory atmosphere.

Comprehensive product presentation at analytica 2024
The new qTOWER iris will be presented at Analytik Jena's stand at analytica 2024 (Hall 1, Stand 310). As part of the popular "Lunch & Learn" seminars, in a relaxed atmosphere with snacks and drinks, interested visitors will learn all about "Multiplexing in real-time PCR – advantages, challenges and opportunities". Registration is possible in advance here. Interested press representatives are also cordially invited to the press tour on 10.4.2024, 10:00 a.m. at booth A1.310.

Further information on the qTOWER iriscan be found here.
