Analytik Jena investing in a state-of-the-art complex

Construction work has begun at the Jena-Göschwitz site for the company’s future main campus with areas for production, warehousing, labs, and offices

Jena, 10 November 2022 – Construction is in full swing at Jena-Göschwitz, with Analytik Jena investing in the future at the site: The plans are for a state-of-the-art complex to be in place by autumn 2025 following the renovation of existing buildings and the addition of a completely new main building. Analytik Jena’s parent company, Endress+Hauser, is joining together with the lab equipment manufacturer to invest around 45 million euros in the project.

The dismantling process has already begun on the Konrad-Zuse-Strasse building, which was originally built as a social complex for the Zeiss Combine and was last used by Analytik Jena for numerous different departments. Analytik Jena will construct its future five-story main building on the site and the adjacent parking area.

A temporary solution was found for the company’s staff, with Analytik Jena renting space from its neighbor, Jenoptik. Numerous departments and around 240 staff members have already moved there this past summer.

As CEO Ulrich Krauss explained: “The new construction and modernization process are major steps forward for us. This will establish the basis for sustainable growth at the Jena site.” Grit Petzholdt-Gühne, the managerial board member responsible for the project added: “We are happy that our parent company is supporting this investment so that we can progress with our business under modern and attractive working conditions and realize our full potential in the future.”
